With over 20 years in general contracting and partitioning in Kenya R World Enterprise limited has emerged to be one of the most respectable and trusted Company in Kenya.

R World Enterprise Ltd Company started as a labour sub-contractor company and later developed to an interior design construction Company.
Despite the small problems that are normally associated with startups R world overcome the challenges to stand out as the best, this according to the Company’s Managing Director Mr.Ravji D Pindoriya.
“The company’s primary objective of providing dedicated and professional services to its customers, particularly in general contracting and interior design, has been the key to its success. By prioritizing customer satisfaction, R World Enterprise Limited has established a reputation for delivering high-quality services” Said Mr.Ravji D. Pindoriya in an interview with East African Modern Builder Magazine.
The construction industry, including R World Enterprise Limited, faced significant challenges due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. According to Mr. Ravji D Pindoriya, the industry experienced a major setback as ongoing projects had to be halted or delayed due to lockdown measures and movement restrictions.
“During the lockdown period, many construction projects were forced to come to a standstill for over six months. This interruption in construction activities had a negative impact on the overall progress and timelines of projects undertaken by R World Enterprise Limited. Moreover, the economic downturn caused by the pandemic resulted in financial difficulties for both the company and our client” Mr Ravji noted.
Ravji mentioned that clients faced challenges in making payments due to the economic uncertainty, as money was directed towards essential needs like food and healthcare.
However, Ravji also noted that since the lifting of Covid-19 restrictions, the construction industry has shown signs of improvement. He mentioned that there has been a recovery of approximately 60% compared to the pre-pandemic period. This suggests that the industry has started to regain momentum and resume construction activities, allowing projects to progress.
“The Covid-19 pandemic had a significant impact on the construction industry, causing project delays, financial constraints, and disruptions in payment flows. However, with the easing of restrictions, the industry has shown signs of recovery and R World Enterprise Limited is gradually getting back on track.” Ravji said

R World Enterprise Limited places great importance on effective management to ensure timely project delivery and adherence to budgets. Mr. Ravji D Pindoriya emphasized the significance of thorough planning during the tendering process and the importance of following the work program.
“it all starts by planning, giving a quote and assessment since each project is unique in its own way, this follows by designing and giving the customer the look and finish they prefer create a detailed plan for construction team and once it is satisfactory to the customer, we use that to manage the desired project to completion on time and on budget.
“Once the build process begins, we coordinate with quantity surveyors, engineers, and regulatory bodies to obtain the necessary permits to ensure projects are completed as per desired quality. From the initial design concepts to final construction drawings, our teams of expert designers are available to assist with any construction and renovation project, then finally build to last and offer quality work using the right and modern technology materials” He said
To ensure compliance with safety regulations, the company has implemented high safety measures for its staff and workers on-site. This includes providing safety personal protective equipment (PPE) such as helmets, reflectors, and gas masks when necessary.
Additionally, a safety officer is present on-site to provide assistance in case of any accidents or emergencies.

Challenges
R World Enterprise Limited has faced its share of challenges, particularly considering the unstable economy that Kenya has experienced since the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic. The construction industry, including general contracting, has not been immune to the effects of these economic fluctuations.
“One significant challenge has been the fluctuation of the economy, with the Kenyan shilling losing value against the dollar. This has made it difficult for the company to provide accurate material prices during the tendering process, as prices can change rapidly. Such volatility has impacted the company’s ability to estimate costs effectively and manage projects efficiently” Mr. Ravji D Pindoriya said.
Furthermore, Ravji highlighted the emergence of new companies in the fit-out industry, which has increased competition for R World Enterprise Limited.
However, he emphasized that the company’s unique approach to client handling, along with its focus on quality and experienced personnel, has helped them maintain their position in the market. It’s evident that R World Enterprise Limited’s dedication to customer satisfaction and commitment to delivering high-quality services sets them apart from their competitors.
Additionally, payment-related issues have been another challenge faced by the company. There are instances where clients may delay or struggle with timely payments after the completion of a project. This can disrupt normal service delivery and pose financial constraints for the company.
Overall, despite these challenges, R World Enterprise Limited has managed to overcome obstacles and establish itself as a respected and trusted company in the industry, thanks to its focus on customer service, quality, and experienced personnel.

R World Enterprise Limited is currently involved in various projects, such as MLT Entertainment Ltd at Sarit Center, Chapel Oak in Westlands,Lilta Enterprises Ltd in Langata and Grant Thornton (GT) at Muthithi Road in Westlands, among others.
The company has also successfully completed projects such as Gastby Africa Office at Riverside, Gelisen Building Material Company in Athi River and Victoria Commercial Bank in Westlands, Embassy of Ireland, British Council Kenya, Kingsway Tyres limited, Kenya Power Pension Fund,BBC Studios,Big Square and several others
Looking ahead, Mr. Ravji D Pindoriya predicts that R World Enterprise Limited will undertake more projects that will elevate the company’s presence and expansion to other major counties in Kenya such as Mombasa,Kisumu,Nakuru, Eldoret. This indicates the company’s ambition and positive outlook for future growth and success.
